Hajiya Halima Shekarau told a large audience of mostly disabled people, that her desire to float the foundation as a pet project was predicated on the need to give the less fortunate members of society a sense of belonging through economic empowerment.
The launch of the Garkuwar Nakasassu Foundation which was attended by many prominent Nigerians including Governor Ibrahim Shekarau saw the realization of about 62 million naira.
